To a liberal, logic doesn't exist. There's really no purpose for it in their lives.
The only things that matters are their emotion and their hatred. Either one of those things or both of them simultaneously is what determines in their minds what reality is.
If they had an inkling of an idea as to how to use logic properly, then they would realize that the greater majority of the things that they believe and the reasoning behind them do not comport to reality.
We all know that they do not Amy Coney Barrett to be confirmed to the Supreme Court, but honestly, there's nothing they can do to stop it.
The reason they don't want her is because they're worried that she'll overturn Roe v. Wade and prevent them from killing their babies. They're also concerned that she'll do something to overturn something like Obergefell v. Hodges which is essentially the thing that recognizes same-sex marriages in the United States.
If they are overturned...good, but as a good and honest judge, she is only going to decided cases based on existing law. It doesn't matter if she agrees with it, as she said, as Antonin Scalia said, even as Notorious RBG said, they are to make decisions based on existing law, not enforce new law. That is the job of the legislative and executive branches.
But as their attacks continue, they get more ridiculous. They're now attacking her for using the phrase "sexual preference" claiming that using that phrase suggests that sexual preference is a choice.
What they are forgetting is that this is how Democrats refer to the idea as well as they themselves refer to the idea, including former Vice President Joe Biden and even Ruth Bader Ginsburg herself.

This just goes to show you that they'll jump at anything to try and demonize the right. In fact, liberals are so childish that they actually changed the definition of the word "preference" AFTER liberals started having a fit about it.
As recently as last month, Webster’s Dictionary included a definition of “preference” as “orientation” or “sexual preference.” TODAY they changed it and added the word “offensive."
