Much of the left fully embraces the open-borders narrative. This includes big bad Beto O'Rourke, who said he would "absolutely" support tearing down the existing barriers on the southern border with Mexico.
Beto was called out on Twitter by Rep. Dan Crenshaw. He asked O'Rourke on Twitter:
.@BetoORourke should answer a simple question tonight with respect to the border debate: If you could snap your fingers and make El Paso’s border wall disappear, would you? Because this DHS graph shows that when the wall was built, illegal crossings dropped significantly.

Crenshaw even provided more information to prove that the illegal crossings have dropped since the fence was built.
For all the critics trying to find ANY other explanation for why El Paso’s illegal crossings dropped after building a fence, how do you explain these graphs? How do you explain what we see in Brownsville, where fencing dramatically reduces crossings? pic.twitter.com/I3QQ7aEHDD

Beto O'Rourke responded to the questions while on MSNBC with Chris Hayes.
Democrat Beto O'Rourke says he wants to knock down the existing border barriers on the southern border
MSNBC's Chris Hayes: "If you could, would you take the wall down now? Knock it down?"
O'Rourke: "Yes, absolutely. I would take the wall down." pic.twitter.com/0jYSc1kKh8

Of course Beto O'Rourke didn't address the success of the wall and the MSNBC host did not push any further for the details.
The left will go to any length they can to oppose the wall. Beto has even stated that he wants to tear down the wall despite the success it had in bringing down crime.
