Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas won reelection Tuesday night. Loser Beto O'Rourke was within three points, but despite all of the spending, was unable to win the Senate seat.

When 79 percent of the vote was in, Cruz was leading Beto 51 percent to 48.4.

O'Rourke gave a very passionate concession speech to fans who were going nuts. He addressed his hometown El Paso, telling them "I love you so much" and then he dropped the f-bomb on live television.

"I want to thank this amazing campaign of people," he said. "All people all the time, all the time, in every single part of Texas, all of you, showing the country how you do this. I'm so f****** proud of you guys."

The speech was being aired by MSNBC when O'Rourke dropped the obscenity.

"Sorry for the f-bomb," MSNBC anchor Brian Williams said. "We have no control of what's in the concession speeches."

While Cruz led throughout the matchup, O'Rourke gave him more of a scare than many predicted. He forced Cruz to campaign frantically, holding around 50 rallies in the past six weeks. He even brought in his former rival President Trump for help.

In the third quarter Beto brought in $38 million and set a fundraising record. He has also brought the Democratic Party to life in Texas, which has long been a GOP stronghold.
