Things are getting tense. Eric Holder freaks out since Roseinstein no longer has control over the Mueller probe.
Democrats were celebrating flipping the House, but not for long. The celebration turned to panic when President Trump forced out Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Wednesday.
Right after Sessions resigned, it was announced that Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker is going to take over the Mueller probe.
Matthew Whitaker is a huge pro-Trump guy. According to the New York Times, he has been described privately as the West Wing's "eyes and ears."
Until Wednesday Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosentein held the job of overseeing the Mueller probe.
Reports state that Rosenstein will remain in the spot for the time being.
Eric Holder went off Wednesday when he found out that Rosenstein is no longer oveseeing the Trump Russia probe.
"This is a red line," Holder said.
Anyone who attempts to interfere with or obstruct the Mueller inquiry must be held accountable. This is a red line. We are a nation of laws and norms not subject to the self interested actions of one man.
