Van Jones of CNN was quick to cry after the midterm election results. He labeled the results "heartbreaking" after Republicans won two key Senate seats.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee is projected to win her Senate race in Tennessee against Democrat Phil Bredesden while Republican Mike Braun defeated Sen. Joe Donnelly, the incumbent Democrat in Indiana.

“This is heartbreaking,” Jones said. “It’s heartbreaking. The hope has been that antibodies would kick in. That this sort of infestation of hatred and division would draw a response from the American people, really in both parties, to say, ‘no.'”

“That does not seem to be happening tonight,” Jones finally admitted. “It’s not a blue wave but it’s still a blue war. We’ve gotta continue the fight forward.”

Earlier in the evening CNN anchor Jake Tapper admitted this was not going to be the "blue wave" the left was hoping for.

“It is entirely possible that Democrats will regain control of the House but, I have to say, when you look at what’s going on here tonight, this is not a blue wave,” Tapper said.

All of that said, the Democrats were still able to get the majority of the House. Let's see if they opt to "legislate not investigate" as they claim they will. Nancy Pelosi is very likely going to be in a very powerful position. That is a very scary thought.
