An uplifting video showcases the touching reunion of a young Ohio child with his father after a year-long deployment.

On August 17, as Eli wrapped up his initial day in second grade, the Cuyahoga Falls City School District revealed that his father, donning a tiger costume, entered his classroom.

"Wow! I think we have a visitor," an instructor says in the background of the video. "We have been talking about our tiger pride pledge, look at that."

The school district, situated just outside Akron, has a black tiger as its mascot.

The video captures Eli's dad kneeling before him as he sits at his desk.

Upon removing the tiger headpiece from his costume, Eli instantly rushes into his father's arms for a heartfelt hug.

"That's Eli's dad!" a teacher exclaims.

"Eli's dad has been gone for a little while, and he has finally returned, so we are so excited," she continued.

The Cuyahoga Falls City School District shared that the father had recently come back to Ohio after a year-long military stint.

They also uploaded a photo online, showcasing a beaming Eli standing beside his father donned in the tiger outfit.
