This week, Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chairman Ron Johnson informed us that someone in the Senate Committee on Homeland Security is blocking subpoenas against James Comey and John Brennan, and guess what? It's not a Democrat.
Senator Johnson, if you remember, was given unilateral authority to issue subpoenas regarding the Obamagate scandal.
Now, it seems that there is at least one Senator on the Committee who is "highly concerned" about how it looks politically to subpoena former President Obama's crew. But why? Someone is obviously an Obama sympathizer, but who could it be?
Ron Johnson had been refusing to name names but emphasized that he needed unanimous support from all the committee Republicans in order to be able to issue the subpoenas
“If I lose one, I lose the vote,” Johnson said.
Hugh Hewitt repeatedly asked Ron Johnson to name the GOP members on the Senate Homeland Security Committee blocking his subpoenas.
Johnson dug in his heels.
“Hugh, I’m just not going to be naming names that way,” Johnson replied.
“If there’s a senator who is blocking a subpoena, we need to know who that is so we throw them out,” Hewitt said, pressuring Johnson to name names.

So it looks pretty obvious who it is. It's obviously Mitt Romney. He's a RINO (Republican in name only) who is involved in the Deep State just as much as some of the others. It's also possible that Rob Portman is one who has been blocking the subpoenas as well.
Mitt Romney was against President Trump during the impeachment trial. In fact, he was the one Republican who sided with the Democrats vote for a conviction during the impeachment trial.

On Thursday, Attorney General William Barr appeared on Fox News Channel's "Hannity," in which he praised Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best. He said that “unless we support the police, we’re not going to have a police force. These communities are not going to have the safety.”
Barr added that “a lot of the liberals will buy themselves out of that. They’ll go to resort towns and so forth, and they’ll escape the consequences of it. But the people in the inner cities won’t. … That’s not caring about black lives.”
