We are watching history unfold right before out eyes. U.S. cities are being destroyed and I'm not talking about being burned down and vandalized. Some of these cities will be left desolate, Chicago being one of them.
Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown let loose and heavily criticized the crooked State Attorney Kim Foxx for failing to see to it that criminals are being brought to justice.
They're not, and it's largely because she is dropping the charges on everyone.
“Criminals took to the streets with the confidence that there would be no consequences for their actions,” Brown said in his press conference. “Let me say that again: Criminals took to the streets with the confidence that there would be no consequences for their actions.”
“These looters act as if there are no consequences for their behavior. And they base that on what happened previously, that we made a lot of arrests during May and June and not many of those cases were prosecuted to the fullest extent. We have to have consequences for the arrests that Chicago Police officers make, through great threat to their own safety, they’re being shot at to make these arrests. And these looters, these thieves, these criminals are emboldened by no consequences in the criminal system. They get released, many charges get dropped.”
Chicago State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, whose office, as The Daily Wire reported Tuesday, has dismissed thousands of felony cases – including sex assault, gun, and even homicide charges – since she took office, tried to defend herself against Brown’s claims by saying many of the looters arrested in May and June have yet to have their day in court.
This reminds me of the book of Judges in the Bible in which we see on multiple occasions the statement that there was no leader in the nation of Israel and everyone just did what was right in their own eyes.
“The people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals. “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 2:11; 21:25).
Each time we see how this turns out to not end well. Instead of submitting to God, the Israelites embraced individual autonomy. Each person became a law unto himself, and widespread evil resulted.
We as a nation need to repent of what we have tolerated and what we ourselves have done as well and pray that God would restore our nation.

On Thursday, Attorney General William Barr appeared on Fox News Channel's "Hannity," in which he praised Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best. He said that “unless we support the police, we’re not going to have a police force. These communities are not going to have the safety.”
Barr added that “a lot of the liberals will buy themselves out of that. They’ll go to resort towns and so forth, and they’ll escape the consequences of it. But the people in the inner cities won’t. … That’s not caring about black lives.”
