A bear with only three legs approached a Florida residence, ventured onto the patio, sifted through the refrigerator, and savored several White Claws on Sunday, as shown in a video by the dwelling's occupants.
Joseph Diglio, just 13, was engrossed in a TV program with the family's canine when noise from the vicinity of the pool diverted his attention. Footage provided to WESH depicted a three-legged bear, affectionately called Tripod by locals, steadily progressing toward the home's lanai.
Upon breaking the lanai's screen, Tripod promptly headed for the family's exterior kitchen. “Oh my God, I’ve never been this close to a bear,” Diglio vocalized, displaying his astonishment as the surprise guest got comfortable on the patio.
“My God, look at him!” Diglio couldn't contain his surprise as Tripod started sifting through their storage, even managing to unveil the outside fridge – a maneuver that evidently perturbed the young lad.
“Once I saw him open the fridge, I got scared that he could open the doors to like the houses,” Diglio revealed to WESH, clarifying that this scene drove him to fasten all the home's portals.
Josaury Faneite-Diglio, the teenager's mother, noted that Tripod helped himself to the fish feed stored close to their exterior aquarium and grabbed three White Claws from the patio cooler. “He took three White Claws, drank, and left very happy. His favorite flavor is mango and strawberry,” she narrated to the press.
Additionally, Faneite-Diglio remarked that, although Tripod left a damaged screen and a mess in their refrigerator in his wake, she held no apprehension or irritation toward his visit. “He lives here; we respect their habitat as much as we can,” she voiced to the outlet.
