During a "tax-reform event" on Saturday in Mesa, Arizona, Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) was caught on a hot mic ripping President Trump and Roy Moore.

[If we] become the Party of Roy Moore and Donald Trump, we are toast.

John Giles, the Mayor of Mesa, Arizona, responded: Mesa Mayor John Giles responded: "And I am not just throwing smoke at you, but you are the guy that could, just for fun, think how much fun it would be just to be the foil, you know, and point what an idiot this guy is ... anyway, I hope you do it."

ABC15 reported that Mayor Giles was talking about the possibility of Jeff Flake running for president.

Senator Jeff Flake Caught On Hot Mic

It should come as no surprise that Jeff Flake feels this way about the Republican Party.

While on the Senate floor giving a speech back on October 24, Flake announced he would not be seeking re-election in 2018. During his speech Flake targeted Trump directly. He took things a step further and stated that the "conservative" path to success is becoming more and more narrow and attributed this to President Trump.

This man is a part of the swamp that President Trump is draining and he knows it. That's why he is desperate to say anything he can on the way out.
