New 2024 Florida Republican Primary Poll Shows Complete Blowout

A new poll among Florida residents shows that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would crush former President Donald Trump in a 2024 Republican Party presidential primary.

The poll, conducted by Sachs Media, shows that DeSantis beats Trump by a massive 45 points, 66% to 21%.

The poll from Sachs Media, whose polls correctly showed DeSantis winning re-election by double digits, found that respondents “trust” DeSantis “more” than Trump to “be a good role model for young people,” 89% to 4%, “have a moral foundation for choices,” 81% to 12%, “unite voters around a common cause,” 76% to 19%, and “be respected by other world leaders,” 68% to 26%.

There was another poll this week released by The Economist/YouGov that revealed Republican voters prefer DeSantis to Trump 46% to 39%. It also shows that Independent voters want DeSantis over Trump, 34% to 21%. For all voters, DeSantis had a 15-point lead over Trump, 43% to 28%.

DeSantis led Trump in every major demographic outside of Hispanic voters, where they were tied at 37%.

The Florida Governor led Trump in these categories: Men (+6%), women (+20%), whites (+15%), blacks (+17%), 18-29 year olds (+12%), 30-44 year olds (+1%), 45-64 year olds (+18%), 65+ year olds (+19%), income <$50k (+6%), income $50-$100k (+22%), $100k+ (+15%), 2020 Biden Voters (+21%), 2020 Trump Voters (+11%), Democrats (+19%), Independents (+13%), Republicans (+7%), Liberals (+5%), Moderates (+19%), Conservatives (+18%), Urban (+8%), Suburban (+19%), and Rural (+11%).

“More Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents now say they’d prefer DeSantis (42%) as their 2024 presidential nominee over Trump than say they’d prefer Trump to DeSantis (35%),” the survey revealed. “That’s a reversal from nearly a month ago, when — according to a Yahoo News/YouGov poll of U.S. adults — just 35% preferred DeSantis and 45% said they preferred Trump.”
