Officers stopped a man in Nebraska on Wednesday morning in response to reports that he was navigating a crowded highway with a full-sized bull seated next to him in his vehicle.

In Norfolk, the police detained Lee Meyer after bystanders alerted the station regarding a vehicle entering the city with a bovine inside. Police Captain Chad Reiman shared with News Channel Nebraska, "[The officers] thought that it was going to be a calf, something small or something that would actually fit inside the vehicle."

Upon reaching Meyer, the officers discovered that the passenger wasn't a calf but instead a full-grown Watusi bull named Howdy Doody, as reported by the outlet.

Footage from the scene depicts Meyer behind the wheel of a customized Ford Crown Victoria, with Howdy Doody conspicuously positioned on the car's passenger side. The car was equipped with a protective barrier to ensure the safety of the distinctively black-and-white speckled creature, and a section of the windshield had been taken out to accommodate Howdy Doody's expansive head and spiraled horns.

Regarding the unconventional traffic stop, Reiman mentioned, “There were some citable issues with that situation. The officer chose to write him a warning and ask him to take the animal back home and leave the city,” as he relayed to News Channel Nebraska.
