While just feet away from journalists, an ISIS fighter blows himself to pieces to avoid capture. Pieces of his body went flying everywhere.
This happened near Hammam al-Alil, which is a town just south of Mosul, Iraq. During the footage of the incident there is an Iraqi federal police, accompanied with a TV crew and they are closing in on the ISIS fighter. Before the police can get to him, the fighter takes the easy way out and blows himself up. His body goes into pieces and flies everywhere. Still shots show the man's head flying in the distance.
The curator of the Iraqi Day twitter account revealed to The Daily Caller News Foundation that the footage was broadcasted live on Kurdistan's Rudaw TV. It is unclear who the reporter in the blast are affiliated with.
After the person detonates himself, there is footage of the aftermath shown, which is a big hole where the bomb was detonated. According to Iraqi Day, an Iraqi news twitter account, the journalist and Iraqi police were not injured.
