California Rep. Maxine Waters seems to get crazier by the day. This time Maxine Waters outdoes herself and goes off the deep end with an even crazier Russia theory about Jason Chaffetz. She says the reason he is not going for re-election in 2018 is possibly because he has links to the Russian government. This was during an interview with MSNBC's Chris Hayes.

Waters acknowledged she has no evidence to back this theory. Despite this, she said what the heck and decided to share it anyway.

“There is a lot of speculation about what he’s doing,” Waters said of the chairman of the House Oversight Committee.

“There are those who think that he, in some ways, have some connections to what is going on in the Ukraine and perhaps in Russia itself and knows something about all of this. I don’t really know. I can’t say, but he’s strange in the way that he’s conducting himself,” Waters said.

This isn't the only theory about Chaffetz out there. Another one, which is far more conventional, is that he plans on running for Governor of Utah in 2020.

The reason Waters and Hayes were discussing Chaffetz is because earlier in the day he had made an announcement about seeing evidence that suggested Trump's former national security adviser Michael Flynn may have failed to disclose payments he'd received from Russia and Turkey, thus breaking the law. Talk about irony, right?

“As a former military officer, you simply cannot take money from Russia, Turkey or anybody else,” Chaffetz stated as part of a press briefing just after he viewed classified documents from the Defense Department.

“He was supposed to seek permission and receive permission from both the secretary of state and the secretary of the Army prior to traveling to Russia to not only accept that payment but to engage in that activity. I see no evidence that he actually did that,” Chaffetz continued.

But Waters dug very deep in order to come up with this insane conspiracy theory. She suggests that Chaffetz may be critical of Flynn due to their history. Flyne was fired from his national security adviser job in February due to being misleading to VP Mike Pence regarding his conversations with Russia's ambassador.

“Maybe Chaffetz thinks that if he rolls out and points to the fact that something is going on with Flynn that he did not disclose, and this is criminal, I mean he’s violated a federal law, that somehow this will raise him above maybe what connections he may have with the Kremlin,” Waters said, continuing, “we need to keep an eye on him.”

Hayes couldn't help but crack a smile at this point.

“I should say, congresswoman, I have not seen any evidence produced of that, but we’ll look for the evidence.”

This lady gets loonier and loonier by the day. What will she come up with next? She even has MSNBC laughing at her.
