Fox News declared on Monday a fresh change in their programming lineup, with Trace Gallagher moving to the 11:00 p.m. time slot starting July 17. Gallagher, presently anchoring the midnight slot with his show "FOX News @ Night", will now take over the 11:00 p.m. slot previously occupied by Greg Gutfeld.
“It worked at midnight, and I think it’s going to be a star at 11,” Gallagher said to Fox News.
On June 26, the network declared a reshuffle of its programming. Jesse Watters is set to take over the 8:00 p.m. slot, formerly commanded by Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson. Laura Ingraham will step in for Watters' previous 7:00 p.m. slot, while Greg Gutfeld moves to the 10:00 p.m. time frame. Meanwhile, Sean Hannity will maintain his presence at the 9:00 p.m. hour.
“Fox News Channel has been America’s destination for news and analysis for more than 21 years and we are thrilled to debut a new lineup,” CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement. “The unique perspectives of Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity and Greg Gutfeld will ensure our viewers have access to unrivaled coverage from our best-in-class team for years to come.”
In late April, Fox revealed its decision to separate from Carlson, an announcement that followed closely on the heels of their previous declaration about parting ways with Dan Bongino.
Post his departure from Fox, Carlson embarked on hosting his own show on Twitter, thereby instigating a public legal dispute between himself and his former employer, Fox News.
