The original Instagram post has been taken down and a new one has been posted with an apology from restaurant co-owners Rachel Sillcocks and Kristina Liedags Compton.
They wrote, "We made a mistake and apologize for the unfortunate incident on Friday when we asked members of the San Francisco Police Department to leave our restaurant."
"We are grateful to all members of the force who work hard to keep us safe, especially during these challenging times," the apology continued. "We hope this will be a teachable moment for us as we repair and continue to build bridges with the SFPD."
They concluded, "These are stressful times, and we handled this badly."

Imagine being so much of a pansy that you are "uncomfortable" with serving police officers in uniform because they carry weapons.
That's exactly what happened in a San Francisco restaurant on Friday, when staff refused service to three uniformed police officers, and then proudly posted on social media about the interaction like they did some sort of heroic thing.
I am thoroughly embarrassed for the staff at Hillda and Jesse San Franciso.

They posted on Instagram announcing that they asked three officers to leave their establishment because the guns the officers were carrying made them feel "uncomfortable" and they wanted the diner to be a "safe space."
Newsflash commies, the only way it will truly be a "safe" space is if people like those officers are carrying guns to keep it safe.
"At Hilda and Jesse, the restaurant is a safe space,” the post reads. “The presence of the officers {sic} weapons in the restaurant made us feel uncomfortable. We respect the San Francisco Police Department and are grateful for the work they do.”
“The presence of their weapons in the restaurant made us uncomfortable,” the staff added as a comment. “This is not a political statement, we did what we thought was best for our staff.”
They concluded that the officers are welcome to return to the diner “when off duty, out of uniform, and without their weapons.”
Uh, no. Not only should those officers never return, but with that kind of toxic, anti-police environment, no one should give them any kind of business. I wonder who they will call the next time someone is trying to rob the place or starts a fight, or literally anything else that would warrant calling the police.
