According to Nielsen data for 2022, the Fox News program "The Five" has been declared the most-watched show on cable news with an average of 3.5 million viewers.

"Tucker Carlson Tonight" averaged 3.3 million viewers for the year, representing a 3% increase over 2021 when it was the most-watched cable news program.

"The Five" which airs at 5 p.m. ET and 2 p.m. PT, had its audience grow by more than 17%. It is the first non-prime-time show to end the year as the top-ranked program.

The cast of the show includes conservatives Jesse Watters, Dana Perino, Jeanine Pirro and Greg Gutfeld, along with a rotating chair shared by three liberal commentators, Jessica Tarlov, Harold Ford and Geraldo Rivera.

This marks the 21st consecutive year that Fox News has been the most-watched cable news network. The network has an average of 1.49 million viewers, a 12% increase compared to 2021.
