Are you a menthol cigarette smoker? You may not be for much longer if the Biden administration gets their way!
Last week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced proposed product standards that will prohibit menthol as a flavor in cigarettes, as well as all flavors other than tobacco in cigars.
Menthol is a minty flavor additive that helps increase the appeal of tobacco by reducing irritation and harshness of smoking. It also interacts with the nicotine in the brain, which enhances the addictive effects.
The Biden Regime wanted to give crack pipes for people to smoke drugs but want to ban Menthol Cigarettes because they say they want to save your life.

“The proposed rules would help prevent children from becoming the next generation of smokers and help adult smokers quit,” said Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. “Additionally, the proposed rules represent an important step to advance health equity by significantly reducing tobacco-related health disparities.”

Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of cigarettes. In fact, the smoke makes me extremely nauseous with a headache. HOWEVER, I do not see it the government's place to make that decision for people. Especially where there are many bigger fish to try.

“The authority to adopt tobacco product standards is one of the most powerful tools Congress gave the FDA and the actions we are proposing can help significantly reduce youth initiation and increase the chances that current smokers quit. It is clear that these efforts will help save lives,” declared FDA Commissioner Robert M. Califf, M.D. “Through the rulemaking process, there’s an important opportunity for the public to make their voices heard and help shape the FDA’s ongoing efforts to improve public health.”
I wonder if they will move to tobacco dip next or if they are only focused on cigarettes.....Perhaps their focus should be more on the crisis at the border or the predicted food shortages.
