17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse has been in jail since he turned himself in after shooting and killing two men in self-defense as they attempted to attack and kill him, as well as injuring another who was preparing to shoot Rittenhouse.
This week we finally got a message from Rittenhouse in county jail thanking everyone for support and letters to everyone they sent.
“I just wanna thank every single one of you from the bottom of my heart for the underlining support. It's just amazing. I just want to thank all of you for the mail I’ve been receiving. It’s been really helpful. I just want to let you all know that I’m going to be out of here soon and stay strong and I hope to see you guys soon.”
What his lawyer goes on to say after Rittenhouse finished speaking should strike the heart of every single American.
"I want to say that this is 100% self-defense. If this is not self-defense for Kyle Rittenhouse under these circumstances then no one can protect themselves, no one can protect their family, and no one can protect their country. This is a watershed moment in American history. A very bright line has been crossed. The right to self-defense is a God-given right and we are not going to allow a prosecutor in Kenosha, Wisconsin to take that away from Kyle Rittenhouse. Thank you so much for all the support."

As you may already know, Rittenhouse has been charged with 6 different charges, 5 of which are felonies.
1). First Degree Reckless Homicide
2. First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
3. First Degree Intentional Homicide
4. Attempt First Degree Intentional Homicide
5. First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
6. Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
This case could very well go down in history as one of the most important of our time. I hope that it doesn't have to go as far as the Supreme Court, but something like this wouldn't surprise me.
