CBS anchor Norah O'Donnell issued a tweet claiming the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump's passports.
"NEW: According to a DOJ official, the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump's passports. Trump had accused the FBI of stealing his three passports during the search of his Mar-a-Lago home," O'Donnell reported.

She even claimed this was learned from a DOJ official so it has to be true, right?
WRONG.
Trump communications director Taylor Budowich quickly came back with a tweet that completely exposed the fake news from CBS.
The tweet included a screenshot of an email from an email that was sent to Trump's attorneys:
We have learned that the filter agents seized three passports belonging to President Trump, two expired and one being his active diplomatic passport. We are returning them, and they will be ready for pickup at WFO at 2 pm today. I am traveling, but you can coordinate further with [redacted] copied above. Thanks.

While O'Donnell did not respond to Budowich's tweet, she was nice enough to retweet someone else who said basically the same thing:
