Mainstream media outlets are treating sex-segregated restrooms in public schools as an attack on transgender rights.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin reversed state policies that allows students to enter whatever restroom they identify as opposed to their biological sex. Additionally, teachers are no longer allowed to use a child's preferred names and pronouns without their parents being informed.
Here are some of the headlines, per Daily Caller:
“Virginia has moved to restrict the rights of trans students in its public schools,” NPR’s headline read.
“Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, a Democrat representing Prince William County, called out Youngkin for violating the state's human rights law.
“‘[Youngkin's] action should be contested in court under the Virginia Human Rights Act,’ she tweeted…”https://t.co/EFp4qL8rTU
