Longtime Democrat Joe Manchin is facing serious backlash in his home state of West Virginia after backing the fraudulent Inflation Reduction Act last month.
A poll came out on Wednesday that indicated 66.1% of West Virginians have an “unfavorable impression” of Senator Manchin and just 26.3% have a "favorable impression." The numbers came from a study by The Parkersburg News and Sentinel.
Although Manchin isn't up for re-election until 2024, the poll looked at Manchin's chances. The poll indicated that Manchin would lose to his 2018 Republican Patrick Morrissey, the state’s attorney general, by a margin of 49.5 to 36.2 percent. When the two faced off three years ago Manchin won by 3.3%.
Manchin was also pitted against Republican Rep. Alex Mooney, who represents West Virginia’s 2nd District, by the poll. It showed Mooney winning by a margin of 44.9 to 37.9 percent.

Joe Manchin has managed to make both sides parties like him. He was the roadblock between the Democrats and Biden's massive spending bills. Then he lost his own state by selling them out and signing the Inflation Reduction Act.
