On Tuesday, John Fetterman was inaugurated as the junior senator from Pennsylvania. Instead of his usual black hoodie and shorts, he wore a dark gray suit for the occasion. Video footage from the event showed Fetterman frequently seeking guidance from his wife, Gisele, who is known for her ambition.

When Vice President Kamala Harris extended her congratulations to Fetterman, he responded with a brief thank you and a swift handshake.

In the following video, Fetterman appears relatively reserved and uninvolved in the events happening around him. His wife, on the other hand, is seen actively managing the interactions and making decisions.

According to The Philadelphia Inquirer, Fetterman declined to speak with reporters and made no public statements after the ceremony.

It is not surprising that the events on Tuesday unfolded as they did. Fetterman suffered a stroke in May 2022.

After Fetterman's stroke, Gisele played a central role in his campaign. Fox News even published an article questioning whether Gisele was the "de facto candidate" for the Pennsylvania Senate.

According to the report, Gisele has been actively building her reputation in the Pennsylvania political scene in recent weeks, often speaking on behalf of her husband in certain situations.

During a campaign event in Pittsburgh shortly before the election, President Joe Biden praised Gisele, saying that she will be "a great, great lady in the Senate."
