If a story is determined it could be fake, it will be flagged on Facebook. There will be a label that says "disputed by 3rd party fact-checkers." From there the user will have the option to get an explanation with regards to why this story was flagged as false.

“We’ll use the reports from our community, along with other signals, to send stories to these organizations,” Facebook VP Adam Mosseri stated in the Facebook blog. “If the fact checking organizations identify a story as fake, it will get flagged as disputed and there will be a link to the corresponding article explaining why.”

Facebook will not prevent any users from posting anything fake, but it will identify what has been found to be fake news by the "3rd party" fact checkers. Additionally, paid promotion will not be allowed for any story that has been deemed fake.

It has been reported by Business Insider that the fact-checking organizations include Snopes, ABC, Politifact and FactCheck.org. What do all of these organizations have in common? They all have records of strongly leaning to the left.
