The question being raised is whether Elon Musk crossed a line or failed to go far enough with his recent statement. In his message on Friday morning, he expressed his backing for the imprisonment of doctors and parents who allow or perform gender-altering procedures like sex-change surgeries on minors who identify as transgender.

Elon Musk's remark was a response to "The Redheaded Libertarian," a well-known media personality, who ridiculed MSNBC's report that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) was "ruining a whole state."

As hinted by The Redheaded Libertarian, it appears that the political Left is primarily concerned with Florida's Board of Medicine and Board of Osteopathic Medicine regulation, which essentially means "you cannot undergo sex change for your child in Florida." With the backing of Governor DeSantis, these boards have recently introduced a new rule that forbids minors in Florida from receiving puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender-affirming surgeries.

“Any parent or doctor who sterilizes a child before they are a consenting adult should go to prison for life,” Musk responded.

Senator Ted Cruz of Texas replied, “Why is this a controversial statement?”

Joe Biden, the President of the United States, has condemned Governor DeSantis' firm opposition to gender-affirming surgeries and hormone therapies for individuals under the age of 18.

According to the President, it is almost sinful for states to prohibit minors from accessing medical treatments and procedures that could result in severe, permanent consequences for children.
