According to CNN's report, a passenger of Delta Air Lines was apprehended for opening an airplane door and subsequently using one of the plane's emergency exit slides prior to takeoff.
At approximately 10:30 AM, prior to departing from Los Angeles, California, to Seattle, Washington, an individual opened one of the airplane's doors and rode down the emergency slide to the ground.
As per the Federal Aviation Administration's statement, the passenger was apprehended and taken into custody by local law enforcement after utilizing the slide.

The FAA stated the Boeing 737 aircraft scheduled for Delta Flight 1714 departing from Los Angeles International Airport was in a state of "holding to taxi for takeoff," indicating that it was awaiting clearance to commence the preparation for takeoff.
“Customers are being reaccommodated on a new aircraft and we apologize for the inconvenience and delay in their travel plans,” the FAA said in a statement to the media.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing by the FAA.
