The head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Sam Pittman, is known for his knack for memorable quotes. At the SEC Media Days held on Wednesday, the fourth-year coach did not fall short of expectations.

Following the victory over No. 23 Cincinnati in the inaugural match of the 2022 college football season, a question was posed to Pittman about his preferred celebratory beverage.

"I’m not promoting it, but I like some old cold beer," Pittman said. "I think I’m going to have one – not promoting it now."

A reporter queried Pittman on Wednesday about whether Hamm's Beer would ever be his drink of choice. Without missing a beat, Pittman responded.

"I like an old Hamm beer, but you burp a lot afterward," Pittman said to the reporter. "You seem like you got a good job, man. Step it up a little bit."

According to the company's official website, Hamm's Beer has a history dating back to its first brew in 1865.

Pittman anticipates more celebratory occasions in the 2023 college football season following a modest 7-6 record by the Razorbacks in 2022. Returning for the Razorbacks this season are senior quarterback KJ Jefferson and junior running back Raheim Sanders.
