Climate Activist Wiped Out By Swedish Cameraman Moments After Storming Stage

In a viral video shared on Sunday, the incident unfolded when a cameraman skillfully utilized his equipment to apprehend a climate protester who had forcefully entered the stage during the climactic segment of Sweden's rendition of "Dancing with the Stars."

During the thrilling finale of "Let's Dance" on Sweden's Tv4, Olympic skier Charlotte Kalla gracefully twirled across the dance floor alongside her professional partner Tobias Karlsson on Friday night.

Subsequently, the stage invasion by climate activists was captured on film, as one individual prominently displayed a sign in yellow and black, advocating for the restoration of wetlands. Another activist scattered yellow powder amidst the crowd, while a third figure remained visible in the background.

The momentary disruption persisted until an unexpected intervention occurred when a camera mounted on a crane swiftly descended, causing the activist holding the sign to be knocked down. Shortly thereafter, security promptly escorted the climate demonstrators away, allowing the dancing couple to resume their position at the center stage.

According to the Daily Mail, three individuals were subsequently questioned by the police under suspicion of vandalism.

The dramatic incident, captured from various angles on studio footage, seemingly went unnoticed by the show's viewers. Despite the disturbance, Kalla managed to secure second place and earned accolades from the judges for maintaining her composure in the face of the protesters.

Before executing their stunt, the activists had reportedly been seated among the audience. After their expulsion from the show, they recorded themselves and shared the footage, stating to the Daily Mail that their intention was to draw attention to the climate crisis that politicians were allegedly neglecting.

“A number of people made it onto the stage. It was handled by on-site personnel and the police were quickly called to the recording, which expelled them from the venue,” TV4 communications director Charlie Forsberg said, per the report from Daily Mail.
