Chris Pratt is not your average Hollywood movie star. That said, this is a very talented guy. He was in Jurassic Park, Guardians of the Galaxy and now Chris Pratt goes on the record to set Hollywood straight!
How many Hollywood movie stars are willing to go out on a limb and stand up for what they truly believe in? That is a question we will truly never be able to answer. The superstar let it be known when he went on the record and said, "Hollywood doesn't represent average, blue collar Americans." Despite what they attempt to make you believe, they absolutely do not. Thank you for telling the truth, Chris.
Chris Pratt Goes on the Record
Chris Pratt recently did an interview with Men's Fitness. He says there are projects out there that he would like to work on that Hollywood completely ignores. Being from Washington-state, he says there are rarely stories that represent him and the type of upbringing he had.
“I don’t see personal stories that necessarily resonate with me, because they’re not my stories,” Pratt said. “I think there’s room for me to tell mine, and probably an audience that would be hungry for them. The voice of the average, blue-collar American isn’t necessarily represented in Hollywood.”
Pratt went on to say that there is a political discourse in this country that is causing a divide. “I really feel there’s common ground out there that’s missed because we focus on the things that separate us,” Pratt said.
Pratt feels that we are getting separated into very defined groups. He says you make a choice to be one or the other and not much outside of that one decision matters. “You’re either the red state or the blue state, the left or the right. Not everything is politics. And maybe that’s something I’d want to help bridge, because I don’t feel represented by either side. I don’t feel we have to be at war with each other like we are, and it’s just getting worse.”
Chris Pratt makes some very good points. Everything doesn't have to be about politics. For instance, we don't watch our favorite movie stars to see liberal agendas pushed down our throats, do we?
It's good to see a Hollywood start who isn't afraid to separate himself from the pack and have his own thoughts and ideas.
