The starlet expressed her recent thoughts on how her decision to never marry or have children adversely impacted her professional life in Hollywood. She attributes this to her inability to escape the "party girl" persona that was associated with her during her younger years.

"I think in Hollywood if you don’t have kids, and you’re not married, you’re judged," the "American Pie" said said to Mr. Warburton Magazine. "So, they still think you’re that party girl from 40 years ago.

"But, all of a sudden, if you have a kid and you get married, ‘Oh, she grew up, she is great. But what if you can’t have kids? What if you don’t want to get married? You can’t judge people on that anymore."

The actress, now 47, expressed that she was the initial target among celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, and Lindsay Lohan for her party lifestyle.

"The difference is I never did sex tapes, I never did anything wrong," she said. "I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket. But what I did get punished for is if I wasn’t shooting, I went to Europe right away. I’d be popping bottles, and I had a great time."

She complained her "bad girl" image was misleading. "Everyone is a bad girl."

"I was just someone to attack. Anything I did was on tape. It was pretty awful. And that’s why I left. It wasn’t because I was just a girl. It was because I was an easy target," she added about stepping away from the limelight of Hollywood.

She stated that lacking the financial means comparable to Hilton or Kardashian to initiate a lawsuit, she recognized that she needed to retreat from the public eye for a while.

The star of "Sharknado" is involved in several forthcoming projects, among them the pet-themed comedic series "Walking in LA," where she also serves as a producer. She considers this phase of her career as a 'second blossoming' of sorts, but still experiences societal pressure to conform and settle down.

She underscores the necessity for society to respect celebrities' private decisions, considering them as deeply personal matters.

She emphasizes the importance of respecting celebrities' privacy when it comes to decisions that are extremely personal.
