Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has certainly revealed himself as being one of the worst governors in America. I would definitely put him toward the top of a very short list of terrible governors among the likes of Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer, and Andrew Cuomo.

Pritzker is so horrible that he has actually threatened to put business owners in prison for a year if they reopen their businesses. How does this even happen? How did we let it get this bad?

One thing that we know for sure is that now all law enforcement feels the same and still wants to side with citizens.

The Illinois State Police issued a statement in response to the tyrant Governor Pritzker's threat:

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Illinois State Police (ISP) continues to focus on community caretaking, educating citizens and businesses and urging voluntary compliance.

As part of that effort, the ISP will act incrementally to urge compliance of the executive order.

Consistent with this community spirit and with state law, policy guidance, and discretion, the Illinois State Police will not issue any criminal misdemeanors to individuals for violations of temporary emergency rules or executive orders.

The Illinois State Police will only apply those emergency rules to entities such as corporations, LLPs or other business entities consistent with state and constitutional law. No individual will be arrested or taken to jail for a violation of the Executive Orders or emergency rules. We encourage all citizens to continue to do their part to maintain public health as we move forward in the days ahead with Reopening Illinois."

I'm thankful that this law enforcement agency is willing to stand up to a tyrant and refuse to follow those orders.

These states need to start easing up restrictions a lot quicker before things get really bad for them. We're not going to forget this nor will we just let it go.
