Sean Hannity Has a Surprising Response for Taylor Swift Haters

Sean Hannity doesn't appreciate the negative comments directed at Taylor Swift by her detractors, especially when they describe her in "treacherous" terms, given the growing criticism she's been receiving from conservative groups.

During a recent episode of his show on Fox News, Hannity expressed his support for Swift amidst speculations that emerged after she attended a Kansas City Chiefs game, suggesting a potential romantic link with the team's tight end, Travis Kelce.

“You know what, I look at Taylor Swift, if I picked my music based on their politics, I’d have five choices. Let’s be honest. You know – country, Christian contemporary, which are my favorite – but I admire her talent,” said Hannity.

“She writes all her songs, she does these shows that have like nearly 50 songs, you know, sets in them. More wardrobe changes, she’s a great businesswoman, seems like a lovely girl, extraordinarily nice to her fans and I kind of hate people, you know, hating on her.”

Hannity's backing comes in the wake of some recent criticism towards Swift. Notably, since 2018 when she first started expressing her political beliefs and showed her endorsement for Democratic leaders like the current President, Joe Biden, some Fox personalities have taken jabs at her. Their critiques intensified after she showed support for Kelce during a Sunday game.

Weighing in on the topic, MSNBC’s Ari Melber commented this Wednesday, pointing out that Swift might be perceived as a threat to some conservatives. He speculated that in regards to her “right-wing critics”, Swift probably “doesn't even remember they exist.”

After listening to Jimmy Failla discuss the rumored pairing, Hannity made mention of Kelce’s partnerships with Bud Light and Pfizer. He then asserted that he doesn't "care" if people choose to take counsel from an athlete or a music artist.

“We live in a free country, they are entitled to their views, as much as I might disagree. But I can also recognize talent and they’re both enormously talented,” Hannity said.

“How’s this? I wish them the best, I hope it works for them.”
