If the goal of the Mar-a-Lago raid was to end Donald Trump's political career, then that backfired in a big way.
The image of the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago has charged up the Republican base and has them looking to show up in a big way for the November midterm elections. A poll released on Thursday confirms that to be the case.
A poll from Trafalgar Group revealed that 83 percent of Republicans surveyed said they now were more motivated to head to the polls in November, versus only 55 percent of Democratic voters.
Another even more telling statistic from the poll is that more than 70 percent of those who expressed no party affiliation said the raid had made them more motivated to vote.
The poll asked what the motivation was behind the raid and the most common response was people who thought it was the work of "Trump's political enemies."
76.7 percent of Republicans were against the raid and 53.9 percent of non-affiliated responders said Trump's enemies were behind the raid.

Reports have surfaced that the reason for the raid was to recover classified nuclear weapons documents. If that is the case, why did they wait almost two years to go after them?
People are left with a lot of questions after the raid, but one thing is not in question: the Mar-a-Lago raid has charged up the Republican Party for the November midterms.
