While it was supposed to be the Cubs day, President Obama made it his day. Obama refers to himself 40 times during the Cubs visit to the White House.

Sure, everyone talks about themselves a little bit, but come on. Was it really nice to downplay the Cubs win by saying it's only been 11 years for the Cubs? Then just after doing so he downplayed how much of a baseball fan he is. Here are some of his remarks.

“Those of you from Chicago have known me for a long time. It is no secret that there is a certain South Side team that, you know, has my loyalty,” President Obama said.

“For me the drought hasn’t been as long,” Obama said, telling the audience the White Sox won the World Series just 11 years ago.

He acknowledged he doesn’t quite have the “same visceral joy of some in this White House.”

Despite the gathering to celebrate the Chicago Cubs, Barack Obama made it about himself. Does it really surprise anyone? Remember the event for passing the torch to Hillary Clinton? He made sure to mention himself a whole lot more than he mentioned Hillary. This is just another day at the office for him. Fortunately he's almost out of days at this office.
