McDonald's is Bringing Back Fan-Favorite Sandwich After Four Year Absence

The McDonald’s Big Mac is getting even bigger.

Starting January 24, McDonald’s is bringing back the Double Big Mac. This burger has four beef patties instead of two. It will be available for a short time all over the country.

McDonald’s sold this big sandwich for a short time in March 2020. They announced it just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the U.S. Because of the pandemic, fast food places had to change their hours and menus, including stopping the Double Big Mac.

This new Double Big Mac is part of McDonald’s improvements. They are making their burgers better with softer buns, better grilling, and better cheese melting. They are also adding more sauce to Big Macs.

Bringing back the Double Big Mac is a way to get customers excited. It's a strategy to attract people who might go to other fast food places. But there's another reason for this burger.

Last month, McDonald’s CEO said that customers want bigger burgers. The Double Big Mac is an easy way to do this. It doesn’t need extra work or new ingredients.

McDonald’s is making bigger burgers at a time when people want to save money. Even though prices are going up, this big burger should still be affordable. The CEO believes they can offer a big, tasty burger at a good price.

McDonald’s has tried different Big Macs before. In 2017 and 2018, they sold the Grand Mac and the Mac Jr. The Grand Mac had two bigger patties and a bigger bun than a regular Big Mac.
