Publix is continuing its expansion with the opening of two new stores this week. The grocery chain confirmed that both locations will open Wednesday.
The new stores are in Braselton, Georgia, and Greenville, South Carolina. Each location will feature full pharmacy services, Publix said in a statement.
The Florida-based company has been busy in September. With the addition of these two stores, Publix has opened six new locations across five states this month alone. Additional stores are also scheduled to open in Florida and North Carolina before the month ends.
According to the company’s website, Publix operates 1,418 stores across eight states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The grocer also announced more store openings earlier this summer in July and August.
Here are the Publix locations that are opening in September:

Trader Joe’s announced it will add eight new stores across several states, and Aldi is also pushing forward with new locations nationwide.
Here are the Publix locations that opened in September: Louisville, Kentucky; Fort Myers, Florida; Spring Hill, Tennessee; Charlotte, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Braselton, Georgia; Coral Gables, Florida; and Orlando, Florida.
The openings highlight a competitive grocery market, where regional and national chains continue expanding to meet customer demand.
