Jeopardy! is getting a major set change, much like Wheel of Fortune recently did.
While it’s not a complete overhaul, a new game board is on the way. This change is coming soon.
The game board, which displays all 60 clues, categories, and dollar amounts, will be replaced. Instead of multiple monitors, there will now be one large electronic screen, similar to Wheel of Fortune's puzzle board upgrade.
The news came from the Inside Jeopardy! podcast, hosted by producer Sarah Whitcomb Foss and retired contestant Sam Buttrey.
Sam explained the new board was built for Pop Culture Jeopardy!, debuting December 4 on Amazon Prime. But they decided to keep it for the regular show too.
“I don’t know if folks know, one of the exciting things about the Pop Culture set is the debut of the electronic board,” Sam said.
“Yes, this was where you first got to get a look at that game board,” Foss added. “No longer 36 monitors; a single, giant game board.”
She confirmed it will debut on syndicated Jeopardy! next Monday, October 14.
So starting Monday, fans will see the new board in action every time a clue is selected.
