In-N-Out Removes "67" Due To Viral Gen Z Meme Chaos

The social media meme war has officially claimed a victim in the fast-food world: In-N-Out Burger has reportedly removed the number "67" from its ticket system after the viral "6-7" phenomenon caused chaotic mobs of teenagers to flood restaurants.

People magazine confirmed the change with a Los Angeles employee, who stated the number was officially removed last month. The decision follows viral videos showing young people erupting in chaotic cheering inside In-N-Out locations when the number "67" was called.

An employee confirmed the absurd reason for the change in one video, telling a young man: "We have taken 67 out of our system, so whenever we're taking orders, it goes 66 to 68 because of people like you." The employee also noted that the number "69" was removed for a similar, non-chaotic reason.

The "6-7" meme originated from a song by rapper Skrilla and was popularized by Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball, who uses the term to refer to his height. The trend involves teens shouting "6-7!" repeatedly while gesturing with their palms up like a balance scale whenever either the number six or seven comes up.

The term's cultural significance was so high that Dictionary.com listed "6-7" as its 2025 Word of the Year, calling it a perfect example of how slang blends digital humor, sports culture, and "generational creativity."
