On Thursday, former New York Governor David Peterson raised eyebrows at New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's 14-day resignation plan, calling it "suspicious."
“It was just a little puzzling that they wanted to have that amount of time,” Paterson said during an interview with WNYC’s the Brian Lehrer Show. “And what they’re going to do with that time, it’s suspicious — I’ll put it that way.”
“I think in the case of Lt. Gov. Hochul, she has been aware that this situation could occur since March — since the investigation began. So, I think as she was sort of hinting yesterday, she’s ready to take over right now,” he added. “I just think the governor has just not resolved in his mind what’s actually going on yet, and his self-awareness just does not seem to be particularly helpful to him at this particular time.”
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio also expressed concern about Cuomo’s strange plan, telling people that they “should keep a very close eye” on him during his last days in office.
“I think people should keep a very close eye on him after everything he’s done. I think we’re all ready to move on, and I think the quicker we can move on, the better at this point,” the mayor said.

Sen. Cruz: 'Pelosi is Drunk on Power' - Probably Vodka Too
On Thursday, Senator Ted Cruz slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on the Senate floor, declaring that she is drunk on power with her new mask mandates. Power isn't the only thing she is drunk on...I'd say there is some vodka in the mix too.

Justice Dept Orders IRS to Hand Trump's Tax Returns Over to Congress
Throughout former President Donald Trump's entire presidency, it was an ongoing issue with Democrats that they did not have Trump's tax returns. Unlike other recent presidents, he did not disclose that information.
However, on Friday, the U.S. Justice Department ordered the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to hand Trump's tax returns over to Congress with claims that there are "sufficient reasons" to request the material.
Rep. Greg Murphy Warns Against U.S. 'Orwellian Atmosphere' With COVID
On Friday, Rep. Greg Murphy warned that our country is developing "an Orwellian atmosphere" during an interview with Newsmax.
''I've tried to be, as a physician, very consistent through this entire process,'' said Murphy, who is also a medical doctor. Senator Marsha Blackburn roasted Nancy Pelosi and others who are calling for renewed mask mandates, stating that they "obviously are not following the science and they do not believe in the efficacy of the vaccines."
