Former NFL Linebacker Shreds Colin Kaepernick's Latest NFL Comeback Attempt

Last week, Colin Kaepernick shared a video highlighting his sustained effort to return to the NFL, which met with mixed reactions from various personalities associated with the league.

Terence Garvin, an NFL linebacker from 2013 to 2018, had a noteworthy career playing for teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers.

During an appearance on "The Arthur Moats Experience with Deke Podcast" on Wednesday, Garvin was questioned about Steelers' running back Najee Harris's participation in Kaepernick's workout.

"The senior prom was like 6 years ago, bro! It’s over!" Garvin said. "It’s over, bro. You still trying to be the prom queen. It’s a wrap. You took that money.

"He pop up this time every year. We know you can throw the ball, bro."

Kaepernick's throwing exhibition seemed to be part of a Nike advertisement. Harris and his fellow NFL peers who featured in the video, supporting Kaepernick, were all sponsored by Nike.

Both Moats and Garvin emphasized that with so many young quarterbacks in the league, it's unlikely for any team to hire a 35-year-old quarterback who hasn't been active in the league since January 2017.

"It’s just nothing to get out of it for them, like for them owners," Garvin said. "I got the mentality where I understand a little bit of their thought. It’s no winning there. What if you come in here and say something crazy?

"On top of that, you’ve shown me you’re dangerous," Garvin continued. "You’d get a rally together. You can’t be leading the troops."

Nothing controversial here. Colin Kaepernick was last seen in the NFL losing his job to Blaine Gabbert eight years ago. How could anyone possibly think this guy has anything left to give in the NFL?
