Elon Musk conducted a poll at the beginning of the week asking Twitter users if he should “step down as head of Twitter.”
“I will abide by the results of this poll,” Musk added.
The poll resulted in 57.5% of people voting "yes" that he should step down from Twitter, while 42.5% voted "no."
Tuesday Musk announced that he will, in fact, be abiding by the results of the poll and will be stepping down as CEO of Twitter.
“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!” he tweeted. “After that, I will just run the software & servers teams.”
