In 1973 Assata Shakur, formerly known as Joanne Chesimard, murdered NJ State Trooper Werner Foerster and fled to Cuba. President Trump to Cuba: Send back the cop killer.

While in the United States, Shakur was a Black Panther and Black Liberation Army agitator. For 40 years she has been a fugitive from justice. She thumbs her nose at the victim's family. Shakur is currently living in Cuba as a political asylee. During a traffic stop in 1973, she killed Werner Foerster execution-style. Officer Foerster was laying helplessly on the ground. In a cold blooded act, Shakur took his gun and put two bullets in his head.

On Friday President Trump took the first steps to bringing Shakur to justice. Trump called for Cuba to turn over the cop killer.

“We respect Cuban sovereignty but we will not forget the suffering of the Cuban people.”

It is good to see a who cares about issues like this. Whether or not President Trump wants to move forward with improving relations between the United States and Cuba, this is something he wants to see solved.
