There are still 18 races in the House of Representatives that haven’t been called. The GOP needs to win just four of them to take control of the chamber.
Here’s where the races stand as of Monday.
In Alaska, Democratic Rep. Mary Sattler Peltola is trailing Republican Nick Begich in the at-large district. Begich leads by 4 points, with 80% of the vote counted. His lead is 49.5% to 45.5%, with Begich at 125,222 votes and Peltola at 115,089.
In Arizona’s 6th District, Republican Rep. Juan Ciscomani is narrowly ahead of former Democratic lawmaker Kirsten Engel. Ciscomani leads 49.1% to 48.5%, with 83% of the votes counted. The vote count stands at 180,913 to 178,820.
In California, Democratic Rep. Josh Harder leads Republican Kevin Lincoln by less than 3 points in the 9th District. With 64% of the vote in, Harder’s lead is about 4,000 votes.
In the 13th District, Republican Rep. John Duarte leads Democrat Adam Gray by 2.5 points. With 61% of the votes counted, Duarte leads 51.3% to 48.8%. They’re separated by just over 3,000 votes.
In the 21st District, Democratic Rep. John Costa leads Republican Michael Maher by a slim 1,000-vote margin, with 66% of the vote counted. Costa’s lead is 50.5% to 49.5%.
In California’s 22nd District, Republican Rep. David Valado leads Democrat Rudy Salas by just under 10,000 votes, with 77% of the vote in. Valado’s lead is 53.6% to 46.6%.
In the 27th District, Republican Rep. Mike Garcia is trailing Democrat George Whitesides by 2 points. Whitesides holds a lead of just under 5,000 votes with 80% of votes counted.
In California’s 39th District, Democratic Rep. Mark Takano has a solid 12-point lead over Republican David Serpa, with 70% of the votes counted. Takano is ahead by 21,000 votes.
In the 41st District, Republican Rep. Ken Calvert leads Democrat Will Rollins by 2.8 points. With 70% of the votes counted, Calvert’s lead is about 8,000 votes.
Republican Rep. Michelle Steel leads Democrat Derek Tran by 6,000 votes in California’s 45th District. Steel has 51.1% of the vote, with 80% of the votes in.
In California’s 47th District, Democrat Dave Min holds a razor-thin lead over Republican Scott Baugh. Min is ahead by less than 1%, with 80% of the votes counted. His lead is just over 3,000 votes.
In California’s 49th District, Democratic Rep. Mike Levin leads Republican Matt Gunderson by 3 points. With 77% of votes counted, Levin leads by about 11,000 votes.
In Colorado, Rep. Yadira Caraveo trails Republican Gabe Evans by less than 1% in the 8th District. 96% of the votes have been counted.
In Iowa’s 1st District, Republican Rep. Mariannet Miller-Meeks holds a less than 1% lead over Christina Bohannan, with 99% of votes counted. Miller-Meeks’ lead is just under 1,000 votes.
In Louisiana’s 6th District, Democratic candidate Cleo Fields leads Republican Elbert Guillory by 13 points. Fields leads by just under 49,000 votes, with 99% of the vote in.
In Maine’s 2nd District, Democratic Rep. Jared Golden has a narrow lead over Republican Austin Theriault. Golden leads by less than 800 votes with 98% of votes counted.
In Ohio’s 9th District, Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur leads Republican Derek Merrin by just over 1,000 votes, with 99% of votes counted.
In Oregon’s 5th District, Republican Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer trails Democrat Janelle Bynum by nearly 3 points. Bynum leads by just over 10,000 votes with 87% of votes counted.
In Washington’s 4th District, Republican Rep. Dan Newhouse leads fellow Republican Jerrod Sessler by 5 points. Newhouse’s lead is just over 12,000 votes with 84% of votes counted. This race is already considered part of the GOP’s total.
These tight races will decide the final balance of power in the House.
