It looks like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez bit off a little more than she could chew when she decided to start a spat with conservative commentator Dana Loesch.
Loesch posted a tweet addressing something AOC said on Twitter claiming that she’s upsetting Republicans for connecting the dots between poverty and crime.
AOC tweeted,
Republicans are all upset that I’m connecting the dots between poverty and crime.
I know most of them haven’t experienced or seen these issues first hand, but I have.
This may be hard for them to admit, but poverty and crime are highly linked, both violent & nonviolent alike.
And this was Loesch's response,
Crime is up because you and others pushed for a reduction in both policing and penalities. Also, whenever you want to talk about poverty, I’m happy to tell you about how hard it was for my single mom and me when I was growing up — and it wasn’t in tony *Westchester.*

I swear it seems like liberals, and especially the radical liberals like AOC, live in a completely different reality than the one we do.
Well, Loesch complete got under her skin because she fired right back,

The problem is that they have actually taken place in substance. While their budget may not have been cut at this time, mayors of various cities have already imposed new policies to limit police.
Then, as AOC does, she began to lecture about why she is right and smarter than everyone else. In other words, Loesch isn’t smart enough to understand.
It’s not as though a vote happens and the full sum of money disappears the next day. That not how it works.
People who study crime know that (despite how many pundits pretend otherwise), *causes of crime are complex* and there are few neat and tidy causal relationships.

Again, Loesch responded,

I’m also fascinated by the casual acceptance of her absolutely classist argument on poverty being inextricably linked to crime. Easy for a limousine liberal to make such a ridiculous argument as a deflection for her and her party’s bad policy, but not as easy to prove it.

After that, AOC shut her mouth and shifted gears in a post about supporting her campaign workers who formed a union.
