On Wednesday, Alicia Silverstone, a renowned actress, declared her support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a leading contender for the Democratic nomination in 2024 and a prominent adversary of Biden. Simultaneously, she expressed her disillusionment with the Democratic Party.
"Last year, I cancelled my Democratic Party registration and registered as an Independent voter," Silverstone wrote on Instagram. "Like many others, I am deeply disappointed with political leadership at every turn."
The "Clueless" star is fed up with the "division, the lies, [and] the profiteering at the expense of the people and public health."

In her appeal, Silverstone urged those who have felt alienated by the government to consider Kennedy, the Biden adversary, as a viable option. She proposed that Kennedy has the potential to bring the nation together and reestablish trust in the government for all generations.
The actress, recognized for her support of animal rights and skepticism towards vaccines, divulged that she had collaborated with Kennedy for more than ten years on matters related to children's health and environmental concerns.
Silverstone posted a photograph of herself with Kennedy, accompanied by a campaign video. She commended him as a 'genuine leader' and 'brave champion,' committed to fighting for mothers, children, environmental justice, equity, and liberty.
"I love his vision of peace, unity, and justice for all. I am uplifted by his commitment to protect civil and worker rights as well as our children’s health. We need leaders who will resolve poverty, pollution, inequality, and stop wars… Bobby is that leader," she wrote.
Kennedy, a prominent environmental attorney and well-known vaccine skeptic, officially announced his intent to run for president as a Democratic contender in the 2024 primary against President Biden in April.
During his introductory speech, Kennedy asserted that both state and corporate entities have harmed our populace and children through exposure to chemicals and pharmaceutical drugs, eroded our wealth to destabilize the middle class, and maintained a perpetual state of war.
Kennedy committed to fostering unity across the country by focusing on shared values rather than polarizing issues. "I plan to achieve this by communicating the truth to the American people," he stated.
The Democratic National Committee has already declared there will not be any primary debates between President Biden and his Democratic opponents. Similarly, Congressional Democrats have dismissed RFK Jr. as a "marginal" candidate who the party shouldn't regard with any seriousness.
