Chris Cuomo Does a 180 On Covid-Era Stance: 'I am now taking a regular dose'

Chris Cuomo has drastically changed his opinion on Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19. Previously critical on CNN, he now admits to using it regularly to manage long COVID symptoms.

In January, Cuomo revealed his struggle with long COVID on the PBD Podcast, hosted by Patrick Bet-David. He discussed using Ivermectin to alleviate inflammation and brain fog, questioning past misinformation about the drug.

"I am taking … a regular dose of Ivermectin. Ivermectin was a boogeyman during COVID. That was wrong. We were given bad information about Ivermectin. The real question is, why?” Cuomo stated, addressing the controversy.

Ivermectin, originally an antiparasitic from the 1970s, gained notoriety as a fringe COVID-19 remedy. Despite early ridicule, its safe use in humans for diseases like malaria has been well-documented.

Discussing public perception, Cuomo mentioned, “Everyone’s going to say ‘Joe Rogan was right.' No, Joe Rogan was saying – yeah, he was right – that’s not what matters. What matters is, the entire medical community knew that Ivermectin couldn’t hurt you. They knew it … I know they knew it."

During his CNN tenure, Cuomo and Don Lemon mocked the use of Ivermectin after Joe Rogan promoted it. “People who are getting, injecting, drugs for animals,” Lemon criticized, with Cuomo adding, “And people telling them to! What person – you know you talk about cancel culture and who to shame – Ivermectin? A de-wormer? Really? … they need to be shamed."

On the PBD podcast, Cuomo retracted his earlier views, suggesting economic factors influenced the initial rejection of Ivermectin. “It’s cheap, it’s not owned by anybody, and it’s used as an anti-microbial, antiviral and has been for all these different ways, and has been for a long time,” he explained.

Cuomo's doctor had successfully used Ivermectin during the pandemic on her family and patients. He concluded, “They were wrong to play scared on that. Didn’t know that at the time. Know it now, admit it now, reporting on it now.”
