Earlier in the week Chelsea Clinton turned some heads when she wished a "Happy New Year" to the Church of Satan. Now she sets the record straight when it comes to her worship habits.
Somehow Chelsea Clinton worked herself into a Twitter thread with model Chrissy Teigen, the restaurant Hooters and the Chuch of Satan. During the exchange Clinton took the opportunity to wish a "Happy New Year" to the Church of Satan.
In 2017, @ChurchofSatan & I were put on a few threads together. In 2018, it’s...@Hooters. What a time to be alive Chrissy!

It’s been so long! Happy New Year!

It didn't take time for some backlash on Twitter.
Per Daily Mail:
"At least [Chelsea Clinton] is open about worshiping Satan," wrote one snarky Twitter user. "If only [Hillary Clinton] could be as honest."
"Oh goodness gracious," replied Clinton. "We can be civil, cheerful, respectful to & friends with people who don’t share our religious beliefs. Sometimes, we even marry them. I’m a Methodist & my husband is Jewish, thank you for asking. A very happy New Year to you Rhonda!"

That doesn't tell the entire story of Chelsea's religion. At one point she left the Methodist church because of their pro-life stance.
“I was raised in a Methodist church and I left the Baptist church before my dad did, because I didn’t know why they were talking to me about abortion when I was 6 in Sunday school — that’s a true story," Chelsea said in 2016
So she was taking a stand for abortion at the age of six. Seems like she is about as truthful as her mother.
