Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field and was in critical condition. CPR and an AED had to be used on him before he was rushed to the hospital.
One of the freaky things about the Damar Hamlin hit is that it looked so routine. Blow to the upper chest. Slight glance off the helmet. Then he stands up and completely collapses. Disturbing stuff. #PrayersforHamlin 🙏 pic.twitter.com/YhO09uPpZO

The National Football League (NFL) announced that it had postponed the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Hamlin received immediate medical attention on the field by team and independent medical staff and local paramedics. He was then transported to a local hospital where he is in critical condition," a statement from the NFL read.
"Our thoughts are with Damar and the Buffalo Bills. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
"The NFL has been in constant communication with the NFL Players Association which is in agreement with postponing the game."
A statement was also released by the NFL Players Association.
"The NFLPA and everyone in our community is praying for Damar Hamlin. We have been in touch with Bills and Bengals players, and with the NFL," the NFLPA tweeted. "The only thing that matters at this moment is Damar’s health and well being."
Initially, the game was suspended and players were given about five minutes to warm up again to prepare to play once Hamlin was in the ambulance and off the field. However, Bills coach Sean McDermott was seen pulling his players off the field and into the back of the locker room.
