Early morning Anderson Cooper rips President Trump. Or did he? Now Cooper and his employer, CNN, claim "someone gained access" to his Twitter account.

The tweet came when Trump reminded Americans that originally he endorsed Luther Strange over Roy Moore in the primary. He did this because he believed Moore would have a tough time winning the general election.

"The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!"

Anderson Cooper fired back on Twitter. Or according to Cooper and CNN, someone who gained access to his account.

In response, whoever was in control of Cooper's account tweeted, "Oh really? You endorsed him you tool! Pathetic loser."

Anderson Cooper Rips Trump On Twitter

Not long after the "pathetic loser" tweet was made, CNN Communications made a statement claiming that someone had gained access to Anderson Cooper's Twitter account.

"This morning someone gained access to the handle @andersoncooper and replied to POTUS. We're working with Twitter to secure the account."

Additional to the statement by CNN, Anderson also issued a statement on Wednesday, claiming he hadn't tweeted "in days."

"[J]ust woke up to find out someone gained access to my twitter account. [I] have not sent a tweet in days or replied to any tweets. We are looking into how this happened."

After Jones' upset victory on Tuesday, Trump issued a pair of tweets. One he offered congratulations to the winner, while noting that the Republicans will have another shot at this very shortly.

"Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory," wrote Trump. "The write-i votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!"

The second tweet he mentioned how he offered a warning during the primary about Moore's chances to win general election.

"The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!"
