Texas Governor Greg Abbott is drawing the line and announced that he will no longer support Major League Baseball after the league created a false narrative about Georgia’s new election law signed by Governor Brian Kemp, and moved the All-Star Game out of the peach state in protest.
Abbott announced that he is declining to throw the first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opening game, and also added that he will not participate in any future MLB events, nor will Texas offer to host any MLB events or All-Star Games.
“I was looking forward to throwing out the first pitch at the Texas Rangers’ home opening game until MLB adopted what has turned out to be a false narrative about Georgia’s election law reforms,” he tweeted.
“Major League Baseball adopted what has turned out to be a false narrative about the election law reforms in Georgia, and, based on that false narrative, moved the MLB All-Star game from Atlanta,” Abbott said.
“It is shameful that America’s pastime is not only being influenced by partisan political politics but also perpetuating false political narratives.” He added, “This decision does not diminish the deep respect I have for the Texas Rangers baseball organization, which is outstanding from top to bottom.”
It is refreshing to see people like Governors Abbott, Kemp, and Ron DeSantis standing up against the left and their tyranny.
